Innovation Grants
Supporting Bold Ideas and Creative Risk-Taking
Innovation Grants are designed to help organizations try new things and explore bold ideas. These one-time, unrestricted grants allow groups to launch new collaborations, pilot fresh programs, or explore untested approaches.
Innovation Grants help create a dynamic, responsive, and inclusive cultural ecosystem that meets Vancouver’s evolving needs.
Award: $5,000–$25,000
Timing: Applications open on an annual cycle, with a one-year project window
Eligibility
To apply, your organization must meet these requirements:
- The main purpose and most activities must advance or preserve arts, culture, heritage, or science
- Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit incorporated in Washington State and recognized by the IRS. If your organization is not a 501(c)(3) or if you are an individual, you can apply with a nonprofit Fiscal Sponsor. You must include a letter of commitment from them with your application.
- Provide public cultural programming or activities in Vancouver
- Have an official business address in Vancouver. Organizations outside the city may apply if at least 55% of public programming occurs in Vancouver
